Stephen King confirms Mathew McConaughey and Idris Elba will star in The Dark Tower movie
Finally Stephen King has given us some information on the much anticipated Dark Tower movie as production has officially started. Idris Elba will star as the gunslinger and McConaughey as the Man in Black. Filming will be taking place in South Africa in just under seven weeks from now. Sony plans to have the film in theaters next January.
For those of you who haven't delved into this Sci-Fi book series, The Dark Tower series tells the story of a gunslinger who is on a quest to save the fallen world by reaching the Tower which serves as a nexus of time and space.
J.K. Rowling confirms Fantastic Beasts will be a Trilogy
Warner Bros feels pretty confident that you will enjoy the spin off to the Harry Potter series, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. So much so that J.K. Rowling came out last week announcing that the movies are planned to be a trilogy. Fantastic Beasts will be released in theaters on November 18th of this year in 3D and IMAX.
Legendary actor George Kennedy has Passed
George Kennedy, who was most well known for his roles in movies such as Cool Hand Luke and the Naked Gun series, passed away over the weekend at age 91. The comedic actor was known to always have a smile on his face and a great person to work with in the industry. "I considered the the time I spent acting as a gift from the beyond," he told Brad Berkwitt. "It's what I could do best." George's final acting job came in 2014 playing a character named Ed in The Gambler with Mark Wahlberg.
Finding Dory New Trailer
The folks over at Disney Pixar have released the second official trailer for Finding Dory which will release June 17th starring Ellen. Check out the trailer below.
