Movie Recommendation: Amadeus
Why not celebrate Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's 260th birthday by watching "Amadeus". This movie follows the life of Amadeus told by his biggest rival Antonio Salieri - now confined in an insane asylum. Mozart was what you could consider the biggest "rock star" of his time and still is regarded as one of the greatest musical composers ever. Directed by Milos Forman and stars Tom Hulce as Amadeus.
Available for Instant Stream: Amazon, Netflix and Vudu

Dirty Grandpa - Review
Written By: Travis Lantto
What happens when you put a seasoned actor in the shoes of a perverted old army general who has an uptight Grandson lawyer, played by an actor who's trying to really find his footing in the acting world? You get a movie called Dirty Grandpa which will play greatly to the teenage crowd with it's subpar story and hormone filled antics.

CONTRACTED
Director: Eric England
Writer: Eric England
Stars: Najarra Townsend, Caroline Williams, Alice Macdonald
IMDB.com Page
Synopsis: A young girl contracts what she thinks is a sexually-transmitted disease - but is actually something much worse.
Why We Suggest It: This is a very intimate look at a common horror sub-genre, zombies. It is a simple story and the effects are minimal. But it is a a unique little gross out film about a young woman slowly changing into a flesh-eating undead. I was pleasantly surprised considering the running time is a brisk 84 minutes. If you're a fan of zombie movies this is definitely worth a watch! Please be advised this is NOT a good date movie!

TRAINING DAY
Director: Antoine Fuqua
Writers: David Ayer
Stars: Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawk, Scott Glen
IMDB.com Page
Synopsis: In Los Angeles, a city where streets are overrun by drug dealers, those who have sworn to uphold the law are breaking them to clean up the streets. Denzel Washington plays L.A.P.D. detective Alonzo Harris, a veteran narcotics officer whose methods of enforcing the law are questionable, if not corrupt. 'Training Day' follows Harris as he trains rookie Jake Hoyt over a 24-hour period. Ethical dilemmas arise for Hoyt as well as the audience as questions present themselves as to whether or not Harris' methodology for ridding the streets of South Central Los Angeles of drugs is right or wrong.
Why We Suggest It: If you haven't seen this movie from 2001 now is your chance to do so and you REALLY should. The movie doesn't stick to your typical Hollywood Cop movie cliche's or involve a love story interwoven through out its plot. Instead Training Day delivers a brutal story of crooked cops and a fresh trainee. Not to mention Denzel Washington won the award for Best Actor for this film so why not watch?! You won't be disappointed.

The Changing Shape of Cinema
So you've just bought a brand new widescreen TV, Bluray Player, Surround Sound System and more cables then you know what to do with. Finally have that home theater experience you've always wanted. You decide what better way to test it all out than to throw in your favorite movie and check it out. When your movie starts to play you notice that you still have the black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. You think to yourself, "Why does it still have that? I just spent $2,000 on a TV and still I have those pesky bars on there."
Well my friends it all comes down to the aspect ratio. I'm sure over the last ten years or so and the switch to HD you've heard of 16:9 and 4:3. More commonly known as Widescreen (16:9) and Full Screen (4:3). While the latter is no longer used nearly as much. There are still plenty of people with computers or older TVs in the house that still use this.
Have you ever wondered why we ever switched at all in the first place? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each? Why is it that a widescreen movie has black bars on the top and bottom of the screen when your TV is also known as widescreen? Well check out the video below from Filmmaker IQ. They do a great job explaining why this is and how the ever evolving industry of Film influenced what kind of TV you have in your home.

The Hateful Eight - Review
Written By: Aaron Meyer
Quentin Tarantino is back again with his eighth film. A western that takes place nearly a decade after the Civil War. Tarantino gives us another of his dialogue heavy narratives that is one of his best, when it comes to building tension and depth of character. Set deep in the heart of Wyoming, in the middle of Winter a bounty hunter is forced to stay over night at a lodge with his prisoner and five other heinous characters.
